Declared a National Park in 1980, Desert National Park is one of the largest National Park of India, encompassing a total area of 3162 sq. km. More than sixty percent of the park is simply semi-arid desert. The great Indian Bustard, which is a sought after bird could be found in considerable numbers in the park.

Great Indian Bustard, Falcons, Eagles, Vultures, Bee-Eaters, Shrikes, Larks, Demoiselle Crane, Macqueen’s Bustard, Sandgrouse, Long-Legged, Honey Buzzards, Chats, Babblers and kites to name a few.
